Getting Started
What is Xcelam?
Where do I find exams to buy or start?
Do I need an account to browse?
You can browse the catalog and open exam pages without signing in. You need an account to purchase a product, subscribe, start attempts, and use profile features such as billing history and performance analytics.
Account & Login
How do I create an account?
Use Sign up from the header. You can register with email and password or with Google. Email sign-up asks for your name, email, and password and requires acceptance of our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. You may optionally opt in to marketing email; transactional email (verification, receipts, security) is sent regardless of that choice.
Why do I need to verify my email?
If you register with email and password, you must verify your email before you can sign in. Check your inbox for a message from Xcelam with a verification link. If you try to log in before verifying, you will see an option to resend the verification email from the login page.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
On the login page, use the forgot-password flow to receive a secure reset link by email. Reset links are time-limited and single-use. If you use Google sign-in, manage your Google account password with Google.
Where can I change my password or secure my account?
Open Profile in the header, then go to the Security tab. There you can change your password (if you use one), see email verification status, link or unlink Google, turn two-factor authentication on or off, review active sessions and login history, and delete your account if you choose.
Exams & Practice Sets
How do I purchase an exam?
From an exam’s detail page, use Buy when you are signed in. Checkout is completed securely (for example via Stripe). After payment succeeds, that exam appears under My Exams and you can start its practice sets. A subscription is not required for a product you purchased.
What is the difference between practice mode and exam (simulation) mode?
Practice mode is focused on learning: typically no exam timer or certification-style integrity rules. Exam (simulation) mode mirrors a timed certification experience with stricter rules (for example full-screen and tab-switch handling) where the product enforces them. Locked sets take you to Pricing, where you can buy the product or subscribe monthly or annually.
Why can’t I open every practice set?
Signed-in users can start the exam’s free practice set (one by default; admins can configure the count). Remaining practice sets and the Final Exam stay locked until you buy that product or subscribe. Study Material is never included in the free preview. Locked sets take you to Pricing, where you can buy individually or choose Monthly or Annual.
How do review and retake work after I finish a set?
After you complete an attempt, you can review results for a limited period. If Review or Retake is locked, buy the product for lifetime access or subscribe from Pricing (Monthly or Annual).
Study Material
When is study material available?
Some exams include a published study program (structured sessions and resources). Study Material is not included in the free practice-set preview. Buy the product or subscribe to unlock it, then open Study material from the exam page. The reader lets you move between sessions and track progress for that program.
How do I navigate long study programs?
The study reader uses a session outline so you can jump between parts of the program. Your place is tied to the exam’s study experience; use the same exam entry points (catalog or My Exams) to return.
What are checkpoint quizzes?
Some study programs include short checkpoint quizzes tied to sessions. They use the same practice infrastructure as other sets so your results stay with your learning history.
Pricing, Offers & Billing
Where do I see subscription pricing?
Open Pricing in the header. You’ll see two ways to access Xcelam: buy an individual product for lifetime access, or subscribe monthly or annually (20% savings vs paying monthly for a year) for all eligible products while the subscription is active. If you are signed in with an active subscription, your current billing interval is highlighted.
How do offers and discounts work?
When the platform applies an offer to an exam or catalog item, the card and checkout show the discounted price and may show the original price for comparison. The amount charged at checkout always matches what you confirm on the payment screen.
What is billed once versus subscription?
One-time charges cover individual products such as an exam purchase. A subscription bills monthly or annually for access to all eligible products while it is active. You manage subscription status and payment methods from Profile → Billing.
Where are my receipts and invoices?
Open Profile → Billing. Your billing history lists invoices for subscription charges and eligible one-time purchases. When a PDF is available, use the download action on the row. Invoices reflect taxes and discounts as recorded at payment time.
Refunds
Can I get a refund for a purchase?
For eligible one-time purchases, Xcelam may approve refunds according to our Refund Policy. Near checkout you will see a short summary of the guarantee (for example a 7-day window when you have not used paid content). Subscription refund rules follow the terms shown at checkout.
How do I request a refund?
Go to Profile → Billing and find the invoice for your one-time purchase. When a refund can be requested, use the request flow on that row. The system evaluates eligibility from your purchase and usage; you will see the outcome or next steps in the app.
Why was my refund request declined?
Automated decisions look at factors such as time since purchase, whether paid content was accessed, exam or practice activity, and whether a certificate was issued for that product, as described in the Refund Policy. If you disagree with an outcome, contact support with your invoice details.
Certificates / Progress / Results
Where can I see past attempts and download a result PDF?
Open Profile → Exam History to see your attempts. Where the product supports it, you can download a result summary as a PDF for an attempt from this area.
Where are performance charts and AI summaries?
Profile → Performance shows trends such as score and accuracy over a selectable date range and includes an AI feedback summary and recommendations when enough data exists. Profile → Question Analytics breaks down how you perform by question type and includes writing insights when you have short or descriptive answers.
How do I manage reviews I wrote?
Use Profile → Reviews to see feedback you submitted on exams or learning content you are entitled to review.
Support & Legal
Where are the Terms, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Copyright Policy?
Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Copyright Policy are on dedicated pages linked from signup, checkout, and the site footer. The Legal section at the bottom of this page lists the same policy links—use those to read the current, versioned documents that apply to individual (consumer) accounts.
Who do I contact for more help?
Use Contact in the footer for general questions. Use Contact Sales if you are exploring team or organization plans. For billing or refund questions, include the email on your account and, when possible, the invoice number from Profile → Billing.
Legal
Official policies for consumer accounts (registry-backed PDFs where configured).
